Hi Jenny,
We found the fixture - it's the Nova pan light, and it's available at Berkeley Lighting (http://www.berkeleylighting.net). They don't have it in stock, but they can order it. Good luck!

Hello Lex,
Thanks for reading our blog! Jay rocks! He is supremely talented, and also really a wonderful person. Did you know that he's talking at Benjamin Moore next week? He's going to be on a panel with Linda O'Keefe and Elizabeth Martin, at the Benjamin Moore Showroom in the Galleria, 101 Henry Adams Suite 407. See you there!

Hello Suzanne,
Thanks for reading our blog. It's funny, we ask the same question at our house: "What would John do?" Very glad to have received your comment!

Manyyyyyyyyyyyyyy years ago, I took his class at uc extension. It forever changed my life. When we bought our first house in sf, he helped us make it a home. As he did, few years later when we moved to Burligame. John is one of the most creative people I know. Ideas just simply oozed out of his head. When he would come to the house to discuss something I wanted to do, I always felt so energized ............for days afterward! Anything was possible with John. Our young son was not happy with his bedroom. John suggested a waterbed...........what a brilliant idea! Along with his creativity, John is a very kind and caring man. Many years ago, he invited my mother and me to his SF house. She talked about that until her dying day. I do love JW!!!!!

I had the delight of meeting John while on holiday in SF in 2009. Discovered the Union Street showroom quite by accident, seduced by the sound of a tricking waterfall at the end of a narrow corridor and then the enfilade of display rooms... I felt like I had happened into someone's special home. This led to a lengthy conversation with one of the staff who said I really must come back in Saturday to meet Mr Wheatman. I purchased the 2 books on offer at the cash and rather than giving them a quick flip through the pictures back at the hotel I read every word, and of course returned to the shop the next day to meet Mr W. He engaged us completely and, as we were visitors, suggested grand architecture and gardens to visit in the remaining days of our San Francisco holiday. Sunday morning at Filoli gardens we found the most elegant Mr W touring the gardens as well with a friend. He had taken his own advice and decided to check out the tulips and camelias himself. A man who experiences and expresses all the senses and shares his enthusiasms so generously!
